Ki niệm đáng nhớ - “Good memories.”
The friends I met in Hue- Thien, Hoa, Hohien, Lay and Siglinde- are what make Hue special to me. Thien, Hoa and Hohien taught Siglinde and I this simple phrase, “ki niệm đáng nhớ” to keep the past few days in our hearts. Perfect!
I’m in Hanoi now. Hanoi is the big city, capital of Vietnam, only second in size to Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon). Facebook does not work in Hanoi so I may be offline for a few days! Today is a rest day and tomorrow and Thursday I’ll be out to sea on a cruise of Halong Bay before returning to Hanoi on Thursday evening.
Not much on my mind today, just readjusting to being alone again for the next few days. Maybe I’ll befriend some cruise-mates, let’s see!
Sorry I’ve been unable to keep my blog going on a regular basis- hopefully the pictures I’ve posted to Facebook have been interesting! When I get back I’ll be excited to share all the details that are missing from my blog.
